Automobile Accidents Reported in County
Edsel Harlow and Melvin Draper, both of Llano, were injured when the 1951 Chevrolet they rode in went out of control about five miles south of Llano on Highway 16. Harlow suffered a broken collarbone and chest injuries and was transferred to Temple. Draper had a broken arm and injuries to a foot and abrasions. Richard Gayle Victory, 20, was injured when his 1957 Oldsmobile left the road and overturned three miles east of Llano on Highway 29. Victory was taken to Llano hospital. injuries not believed serious. Vivian Wilkes Daugherty, 48, of Marble Falls, damaged her 1958 Plymouth crossing the Colorado River bridge at Kingsland when ice covered the bridge caused a skid. Vehicle damage estimated at $500-$600. no injuries.
