Officials from Southwestern States Telephone Company outlined a county wide dial system for Llano County rural subscribers. 1570 poll taxes were paid in Llano County for 1960 according to Eugene Atchison assistant tax collector. There were 34 exemptions for young people aged 2k years. Atchison said the 1570 paid poll taxes was among the largest he has recalled in office.
