News item notes the December 7 1935 marriage of W N Colson and Sibyl Cotton at Burnet with Rev L V Nobies officiating. The bride is the youngest daughter of County Agent A J Cotton.
The Christmas turkey market closed today with buyers paying 21 cents per pound for number one turkeys. The market opened Tuesday at 20 cents and rose to 21 cents by Wednesday afternoon. Few birds remained as Thanksgiving sales consumed the supply and local poultry production has declined.
Carroll Gray a San Saba County native and rancher died in a San Angelo hospital last Friday and was buried in Brady. J W Carroll attended the funeral. Gray moved to McCulloch County 24 years ago to ranch and owned a leading ranch. He was a Baptist church member. In a separate note near Richland Springs Raymond Pearce lost fifty dollars from a billfold hidden under a heavy trunk then found after a fortune teller and sheriff searches led to two arrests.
Llano County Texas notices require all debtors to settle and all creditors to present claims within lawful time. D D Steele county agent visited Lampasas last Thursday to assist in judging the livestock show. Edgar F Simpson is named administrator of the estate.
Post notice informs that all lands owned or controlled by the undersigned are posted for public awareness. It cautions trespassers and directs compliance with posted restrictions and any applicable local trespass laws.
