Santa's House Opens December 10 in Kingsland Parade
Santa Claus opens his house on Saturday December 10 at 10 am with a parade from the bridge to Santa's House between the Baptist Church and Peer Tyro. Alpha Kappa Sorority funds decorations and Santa will greet children and pose for photos during two week visits with weekday hours 4 pm to 7 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm beginning December 10. Local carolers and church choirs perform nightly, with Lang High School Stage Hand, student soloists from San Antonio, and Calvary Hill Gospel Singers featured on select dates. An unrelated note mentions the April 18 1906 San Francisco earthquake and ensuing fire.

The Llano County Museum, open on weekends in fall and winter, attracted 105 visitors last month. Gillespie Fair Association invites 400 couples to a first annual New Year’s Eve gala at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds Exhibition Hall Fredericksburg.
