An agricultural leaders gathering formed a soil and water conservation clinic near Richard Barton Farm in Creey Field Texas on December 2 1966. Organized by Wesely Grote county supervisor Farmers Tome Administration and Soil Conservation Service officials the event showcased farm practices and district cooperation.
Farmers receive Soil and Water Conservation loans through the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service and Extension Service guidance. Loans cover terrace building, waterways, ponds, brush removal, permanent pastures, well drilling, land leveling, and irrigation equipment with up to 20 year repayment and government loan repayment insurance.
The engagement of Gail Gregory to Don R John son is announced by her parents Mr and Mrs Thomas Gregory. Gail is a Southwest State Teachers College student and former Llana High School senior queen with numerous school honors. John Tarleton attendee, San Marcos student, and Army veteran is the fiancé. The couple plans a Christmas wedding and will reside in San Marcos.
