Weekend guests of Mr and Mrs C N Moore were their grandson and his wife Mr and Mrs Stanley Hughson of San Marcos. John Kuykendall left Monday to attend a week long conference for county agricultural agents at A and M University.
Master Sergeant Fritz W. Renfro of Perrin Texas receives the U. S. Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for the 3380th Civil Engineering Group at Keesler AFB Mississippi. His unit met high standards in mission and facility support under Air Training Command amid a major reorganization. Renfro is a World War II and Korean War veteran, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Renfro, with wife Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Idol of Llano.
Mrs. Willie K. Davis, 74, of Kingsland died Sunday in Liano hospital. Funeral services were held at Waldrope Funeral Home Tuesday with Minister C. M. Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial in Kingsland Cemetery. Born July 4, 1894 in Cooper. Survived by husband James E. Davis and sister Mrs. Jettye V. Kent of Sweetwater. Pallbearers listed.
Two grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Moore completed master’s degrees at Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos. Stanley Hughson of San Marcos earned a Master of Science in mathematics and teaches at San Marcos High School. Dixie Moffitt of Killeen earned a Master of Science in chemistry and biology.
