Cassadays Attend Funeral in Oklahoma
Mrs Ida Goff mother of Mrs Herman Cassaday of Llano died Sunday July 21 in Jay Oklahoma hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr and Mrs Cassaday attended the funeral Monday July 22 with burial in Mount Herman Cemetery near Jay. They returned to Llano Wednesday. Mrs Sammy Offer of Austin has been visiting her mother Mrs H E Fain while her husband was on a two week tour of duty with the Reserves.

Wright Receives Army Commission After ROTC Distinction
Fred James Wright 23 son of Mr and Mrs M F Wright of Kingsland earned his Regular Army commission as a second lieutenant after completing Texas A M University ROTC. As a distinguished military graduate he gains active duty delay for graduate study, with a 1968 Texas A M degree and an architecture research fellowship. Mr and Mrs M B Wirdell, formerly Llano residents now in Alpine, visited this week.

Llancans Son Serves On Nuclear Frigate Bainbridge
Vernon L. Robertson Machinist Mate Second Class USN, 23, son of Mr and Mrs Buck L Robertson of Llano and husband of Janice D Bishop of Aransas Pass, serves aboard the nuclear powered frigate USS Bainbridge. He helped complete an overhaul including refueling its two nuclear reactors for the first time since 1962. Since commissioning the Bainbridge has logged over 200000 miles with two Vietnam tours and a world goodwill mission.
