Llano 4-H to Compete in San Angelo District Elims
Some thirty five Llano 4-H members travel to San Angelo on Saturday April 25 for District Eliminations in District 7. Twenty two counties contest for district honors with eleven events representing Llano in eleven of twenty five. Contestants include Favorite Foods with Gena Roberson Ann Rode Susan Cohen Betty Birk. Llano Junior Golfers Compete in Weekend Tourney
After lessons, Llano junior golfers played in a weekend tournament. Senior boys saw Dennis Raesener win the driving title with Richard Rabb second, while Rabb also placed second in pitching and led the putting contest. Junior boys featured Tommy Turner driving champion and J Paul Ray sweeping pitching and putting. Girls divisions saw Cinda Raesener win senior driving and Ida Nell Hasse top driving pitching and putting in juniors.

A Buchanan crafts group plans a summer exhibit series starting the last weekend in May, with Saturdays 10 a.m. to dark and Sundays on the lawn at Rock and Wool Cottages on Highway 20. Paintings and crafts will be for sale, and admission remains free.

Anniversary Dinner Honors Iven Bode and Balkos
Mr and Mrs Iven M Bode were honored at a large gathering at the Starlight Lounge and Cafes on Lakeshore Drive celebrating their wedding anniversary. Mrs Balko also marked her birthday. Bode has served as a state highway patrolman in Llano County for 13 years. The hosts operate the Starlight Lounge and Cafe and the menu featured baked wild turkey and bargeotted venison among other dishes.

College Class Elects Charles Hare Head
Charles Hare, engineering science student at Trinity University, elected president of the senior class at San Antonio university. He will serve in the Student Senate and become class agent for Trinity University Alumni Association class of 1968 after graduation. Hare is son of Rev. and Mrs. Charles Hare of Castell. Billy Ratliff visited home from the University of Texas last weekend.
