4-H Club Boys Receive Seed From Chamber of Commerce
Forty-five 4-H Club members from Liano Valley Spring Kingsland Prairie Mountain Castell and Babyhead received corn and sorgum seed with planting guidance and record keeping emphasis. Seed covers seventy-five acres of corn and forty acres of hegari with selected varieties and Semesan treatment to boost future crop quality and yields.

R H Nelson reports most Llano county cotton producers have renewed 1935 contracts. Seventy plus 69 new applicants seek 1936 contracts while seven producers remain unrenewed awaiting signatories. County agents urge all eligible farmers to participate and visit the office for details.
San Antonio Livestock Market Shows Mixed Movement
Trading in the cattle division started slow on Tuesday then picked up later, with good to choice killing cattle scarce and plain grades slow. Buyers paid around 7.50 for good weights and about 5.75 for butcher cows. Beef bulls sold slow while replacement cattle were very light. hogs held at 7.85 for top quality, with medium and light weights selling slowly.

Mrs Katz Sail To Old Home In Hungaria
Mrs Katz sails from Cherbourg to visit her Hungarian birthplace. She left last week with Mr and Mrs Ben Donop for Daliay then to New York and on to her old home. She plans to travel through France and Germany to spend two or three months with her parents.

Lions Club Formed in Liano at Hotel Liano Meeting
A group of fifteen to twenty local business and professional men organized a Lions Club in Liano during a Monday meeting at Hotel Liano. Officers were elected for the first year, committees appointed, and a Charter Night set for Tuesday April 23. Will Collins named president with a full slate of vice presidents and officers, and a board of directors including T. J. Moore Damon Smith Bill Watkins and A H Win ke. Luano Men Attend Terracing School This Week
D. D. Steele county agent and Shirley Williams precinct three commissioner traveled to College Station for a three day school of instruction on terracing and water conservation methods. The program featured demonstrations of farm machinery and included pasture terracing. They visited A&M College departments during the session.

City Officials Reelected In Light Vote
T J Watkins reelected mayor and C R Stolz and John C Buttery chosen as aldermen for two years with Geo L Shaw elected for one year as alderman. The city election last Saturday drew a light vote with no opposition and under a hundred ballots cast. New officers to be installed at the City Council meeting next Monday night.

State plans large auditorium with ten percent local funding
The plan envisions a large state auditorium costing over ten thousand dollars. The chairman stated the project could be built with only ten percent of the funds supplied by local people.
County Agent Reports 27 More Cotton Certificate Checks
D. D. Steele, county agent, received 27 additional government checks totaling .8476.70 for a two percent advance on cotton exemption certificates sent to the National pool by Liano county producers. All but two producers have received their first check. the two are expected soon. Nelson notes the county has $34,203.80 from surplus certificates, about eighty percent of the total due. Due to drought, seed shortages persist, and funds from the surplus are being used to buy seed for 1935 crops.

State Parks Board Eyes Llano Park Improvements
