Old Time Fiddlers Plan Llano County School and Contest
The meeting on March 23 formed the Llano County Special Opportunity School with a board of trustees including Dr. Henry Hoerster and Mrs. Mallie Crawford. A housing committee was authorized, and two survey committees were created to assess needs and train staff. The first Old Time Fiddlers Contest, a Bicentennial event, will be held April 3 at Robinson City Park with signups at 9 am and finals at 6 30 pm. Armand Taylor of Tow is director.

Historic Book Being Printed on Llano Boom Days
Reservations are being taken for Cobwebs and Cotherstones a study of Llano business districts. The bicentennial project by the Junior Woman's Culture Club of Llano features 150 old pictures plus narratives from the 1890s and early 1900s with North Llano paintings printing for the first time. Co authors are Mrs Phyllis Whitt Almond and Mrs Sarah Oatman Franklin. The hardback book costs 7.25 dollars tax included mailed copies 0.50 extra.

LCRA Praises TRC Action On Gas Banking Plan

Banquet and livestock contest set for Llano April
The Hill Country Livestock Raisers Association will hold its annual banquet in the Llano elementary cafeteria on April 10 with officers to be elected. A 6:30 to 7:30 fellowship hour precedes dinner. The 28th Central Texas Livestock Judging Contest for FFA and 4-H members is planned for April 3 at Granite Hills Hereford Ranch, with about 70 teams invited and Texas A&M’s L D West to judge.
