Semer Reunion Closes Season At Springs With Gensemer Ancestors
The second annual Gensemer family reunion drew about a hundred members from Lancaster, Lebanon, Chester and nearby counties at Litt Itg Springs. A secretary’s paper traced the line from George Gensemer, a 1778 tanner near Adams Town, who hid Hessian workers from British deserters, to today’s Gensemers. A larger gathering than last year spurred a committee to locate all known Gensemers for next year’s record and attendance. The program featured an engaging lineup of events.
