Old Lititz organ service marks 1790 instrument history
In Zion's Church near Royersford, a 1790 Tannenberg pipe organ, used from 1791 to 1912, was celebrated again in its corner as a relic after a newer instrument was installed. The cost originally 150 pounds, largely funded by seven subscribers led by Rev. Ludwig Voigt. The instrument, once painted white with reversed key colors, is one of only three Tannenberg organs in the U.S., with Nazareth and Hebron as the others. It has moved from gallery to back of the current edifice since 1861.
