John Peters Breaks Ankle From Ladder Fall
John Peters broke his left ankle last week when a ladder slipped from a pole near Erb's lime kiln. He landed on a car hood and bounced across the road, fortunate his injury was not worse. After setting the bone an X-ray showed proper alignment. he is recovering at home near the Manheim and Penn township road by the Fruitville pike.

Fishermen reel 228 fish over three days on Susquehanna trip
Lewis Haines a pretzel maker and Tom Goodhart of Lancaster, a former ball player long known to fans, landed 228 fish on out lines at Fires Eddy along the Susquehanna. The haul included 186 catfish 42 eels and shad mullets. Goodhart after baseball years traveled with an advertising car then ran a dining house in Lancaster.

About a hundred residents joined an excursion train from Lancaster to Niagara Falls leaving Saturday evening and returning Monday morning. Bad Egg Harry Hacker Charged In Local Assault Case
A Bad Egg Harry Hacker and several Ephrata men face assault and battery charges on Thomas Pous ten of Landis Valley. Pous ten, known in Lititz, once boarded at the Park View Hotel and was involved in multiple lawsuits after rifling rooms and assaulting a town boy. He drew in others to counter-suits and was forced to pay fines after the trouble began. the town was glad he left.
