Rapid Theatre Work Advances on Sturgis House remodeling
Steel and masonry changes on the Sturgis House property and its rear garage mark rapid progress toward a modern theatre on Mast Main Street. Workers removed the balcony and front roof, dismantled a large front tree, and prepared the former garage for girders and a new roof. Plans approved after delays promise a lobby linking to a fruit store, remodeling of the restaurant, and a new shower room on the vacant lot between Sturgis and Lutz Market. The heating system contract went to American Heating and Ventilating Co of Philadelphia for advanced climate control.
