Lititz Community Chest Report Details 1931 32 Relief
The Lititz Community Chest reports its annual relief work from November 1, 1931 to October 31, 1932 totaling 2700.25 dollars aiding 63 families. Expenditures covered groceries coal milk bread clothing meat and wood with donations of garments by Pollyanna Circle and support from the Red Cross and local citizens. Funds came from Lancaster Poor Board and a 6000 Sept donation to County Welfare Federation to aid hospitals and Red Cross amid a strained county budget.
