Assemblyman Gets Answer in Jersey City Debate
Philadelphia reports on the Jersey City joint debate where Assemblyman Francis P. Boland challenged statements by Hart J. Fackenthall. Railway officials clarified figures on passenger safety and crew costs, noting two falls from trains last year and that no passenger was killed in a train accident. The excess crew laws are explained as general costs, with current excess brakemen totaling 2,299 on eighteen roads in two states amid reduced traffic.
