Reduced Gas Rates Take Effect in Lititz
The Pennsylvania Power and Light Company implements a new tariff on June 2 in Lititz. The first 400 cubic feet cost $1, the next 2 600 at 20 cents per hundred, then 10 cents per hundred to 15 000. Above 15 000 cubic feet, 12.4 cents per hundred. Farmer rates start at $2.25 per thousand for the first 2,000 cubic feet, then $2 per thousand for the next 1,000 with declines thereafter. The change modestly lowers bills for most small users and signals PP&L’s move after acquiring the former utility.
