Summer Bible School Opens With 387 Enrolled
The Summer Bible School opens Monday June 6 in three central churches of co operating denominations. Enrollment stands at 387 ages 5 through fourteen. It serves high school level courses, not an infant or primary school. Prof. M C Demmy is supervising principal. Families with enrolled children received letters detailing time place and grade.

Trolley Car Crashes into Signal Light at Broad Street
A trolley car arriving at 8 45 Tuesday morning ran wild at the Broad street terminus and struck the signal light standard at the railroad crossing. The iron pole and crossarms were broken, the cement base held the car, air brakes failed, and the front glass shattered.

Alumni Meeting Delights Lititz High School Fans
The thirty seventh Lititz High School Alumni meeting drew a full house Monday evening. Ernest Enck presided, with Violet Helter as secretary. A varied program featured vocal solos, a poem, violin, readings, piano, an oration, and a one act comedy. Officers elected were Luther Mearig president, Richard Snyder vice president, LeRoy Kling treasurer, Mabelle Steffy corresponding secretary, and Laura Rudy recording secretary. Alumni Day and class reunions were planned, replacing readings of class histories at the banquet.

Visitors on Mississippi flood trip extend to Indianapolis
Chief Deputy Collector C. H. Martin of Lancaster money revenue office travels with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bomberger and son Lloyd by automobile to Indianapolis to visit their daughter. Believe Round Trip Trolley Fare Set at 42 Cents
A fare change from here to Lancaster starts June 27 with a round trip rate of 42 cents. The system uses six zones at seven cents each, totaling the new price. Officials have not set a complete schedule, and regular riders using book purchases pay about the old rate of 86 cents.

Woman Killed on Coopers Hill Near Bridge
Mrs May Pinkerton recently moved to Lancaster from Lebanon died when her car left Cooper's Hill and overturned beside the Cocalico bridge early Sunday. She was estranged from her husband. R T Sherman of Lebanon was a companion. Lititz youths were at the scene shortly after the accident.

Local Men In Auto Accident Near Mt Joy
Ivan Buckwalter of Lititz was severely lacerated on the face in a Harrisburg Pike crash Sunday at 6 am. He is at Lancaster General Hospital with sixteen stitches. three other Lititz residents William Lutz Jerre Erb Jr and John Zug escaped with scratches after the car struck a culvert and a pole.

Lititz Man Held for Trial in Robbery Case

Notable group travels to Bowers Beach with collision later
Several named men including Ellis Kauffman William Bingeman Clarence Frederick and Charles Eckenroad of Brunnerville and Jacob Dussinger of Akron visited Bowers Beach on Sunday. Returning at Ephrata their auto collided with another vehicle disabling the other car though they reached home in their own machine.
