Rail survey to pass through Clay and nearby towns
A survey for a Cornwall to New Holland railroad by the Penna BR Co. nears Clay after travelling from Schaefferstown via Kleinfeltersville. Local curios include Elser’s 1538 German Luther Bible and a Baron Stiegel stove plate. Cigar thieves strike Eberly’s Durlach factory, stealing 2000 cigars, with sales risk noted by Steinmetz.
