Engineers with Standard Oil Company of Pennsylvania explain that a battery at zero has only one third of the power it has at 80 degrees. Cold weather adds strain and batteries work less when cold. Drivers should use light winter oils, winter lubricants, and a quick starting motor fuel patterned after aviation gasoline to ease cold starts and improve warm up.
The Lititz American Legion hosts New Holland on Lutz Court with Legion Reserves facing New Holland Reserves in the preliminary. Lititz recently won their County League opener 88 to 41 over Millersville while New Holland had beaten Lititz in their first meeting at Millersville.

Funeral from the late home this afternoon at 1:30 with interment Bainbridge Cemetery.
The Accapella Male Chorus of East Petersburg and nearby areas met at East Petersburg School on Monday night and elected Wilmer J Charles and other officers to serve the coming year.
Mrs Harriet K. Huber aged 80 died at her daughter Mrs John Schreiber’s home near town Tuesday morning at 1 oclock after an eight weeks illness from the effects of a stroke.
