Injured Students Return After Penn State Accident
Henry Sturgis and two other State College students were injured when their car skidded near Lewisburg en route to a high school senior play. Henry suffered a broken shoulder, broken glasses, and eye pain, others had rib, ankle, and shoulder injuries. George K Schimp 65 died at his Lancaster home at 3 am Saturday from a complication of diseases after a weeklong illness. Born July 21 1886 in Leacock he was a former painting and paper hanging contractor. Survived by wife Susan Cooper two children Park E Lancaster and Dorothy M at home two brothers Frank E Brownstown and Ivan Refton and one granddaughter. Services were held Tuesday at 2 pm from the late home with interment in Mechanicsburg Lutheran cemetery.

Clarence Beck of Ephrata, a loom weaver at the Stun zi Silk Mill, died at 8 am Thursday from a cerebral hemorrhage. Amos S Hottenstein, 81, died suddenly Friday night at his East Petersburg home from a heart attack. A Brethren Church elder for 52 years, he ordained in 1909 and officiated hundreds of weddings and funerals. Survived by a sister, a son-in-law, a granddaughter and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the East Petersburg Brethren Church.
