The Love One Another Circle of King's Daughters will meet in their room on Tuesday. Also notes on Wing birthday a legal holiday and intermittent post office hours. A reader from a distance asks for information on a local public sale and a forgotten sale holder name. Snowfalls continue with two inches on December and January. coal winter mood noted.
The season brings heavy water soaked snow with sleet and rain turning to slush. Rail service continued through the storm, with minimal delays as warm sun melted much of the accumulation overnight. Nine inches fell, but warmth and sun are expected to clear most banks by tomorrow. Lititz High School English teacher E Ruth Fisher leaves for Harrisburg to teach at Central High, replaced by Hanover graduate Prof Jacob who had taught twelve years at Ashtown and Ursinus.

Harrisburg Tech High School Bruins face York Collegiate in a regular season game. Final scores show York Collegiate 31 to 10 over Harrisburg in a lopsided defeat. Gettysburg High later edged Harrisburg 23 to 22. Harrisburg lineup lists McLinn Kitzmiller Wills Ross Satharsler and others.
Miss Grace E. Keller who was quarantined at the Little Springs Bowl received a Valentine surprise last Thursday. Her date operators of the Bell Telephone Office arranged the event. She got one hundred and nineteen valentines from New York Michigan City Westfield N J Lancaster Mount Joy Columbia Ephrata Manyam Rothis Brunnerie and Lita plus other gifts including five letters five handkerchiefs seven boxes of candy various cakes fruits and more. She thanks everyone for the kind memories.

Longenecker received a trainload of Chevrolet cars at Lancaster which were unloaded Sunday. Twenty five autos were missing some cars have not been traced. The train passed through Lititz at 1 pm on Saturday and caused a delay. About twenty people worked all day unloading and storing the cars at the Lancaster fairground. The train started from Tarrytown on Feb 1.
Harry S Meiskey a well known Lancaster business man died at St Josephs Hospital at 5 30 PM after a two week illness from complications. He was born February 4 in Elizabeth township was 73 and long operated a milling and cigar business in Lititz area. Funeral services set for Saturday at 2 30 PM at his home with Moravian cemetery burial. American Legion basketball game schedule noted for Boyertown and Collingswood as postponed due to schoolhouse closure.

Mr James S Zyphers is new mechanical engineer of Ideal Cocoa and Chocolate from Baltimore Md. Mr and Mrs Lloyd Horr Scattdale recently married, spent part of their wedding trip with Lititz relatives. Prof H H Beck stin last Friday to bring hyme vam Miller son of Wr and Sirs I J Shh. The young man will be a chemist.
