Lititz Borough May Cut Tax Rate One Mill This Year

Borough Council plans to reduce the 1933 tax levy by one mill, possibly up to five mills. A five percent cut in all Borough employees' salaries is also anticipated. If approved, this would mark the third consecutive year of tax relief, with prior reductions in 1931 and 1932. The water system upgrades forced past years to raise funds, yet the town remains largely debt free with sinking fund reserves.
