Miss Emma Augusta Hall died at her Cedar Street home Tuesday morning aged 77 years. A Warwick native, she resided locally since 1853, taught Sunday school at Kissel Hill Lutheran then St Paul’s Lutheran, survived by sister Amelia Bowman and nieces Alice Afflerbach and Sarah Bowman. Funeral Friday at 2 PM at the house, burial Kissel Hill cemetery.

Jacob S Minnich died at his East Main Street home on Wednesday at eleven. He was 54 years, 5 months, 10 days old, died of general debility after a long winter illness. Born in Penn township, he farmed before moving to the borough 25 years ago and never left his home. Survived by second wife Anna Graybill, first wife Elizabeth Gibbes predeceased him. no children, siblings, or other relatives noted, last of his line. A deacon and treasurer of the Church of the Brethren for years, the funeral is set for Saturday at 9 a.m. at the house, with 9:30 a.m. service at the Brethren church, Longenecker's burial. West Conestoga district ministers to officiate.

John G Keener of Hopeland Clay township died Wednesday at 3 a m aged 79 after pneumonia illness. A Warwick and Clay township resident, he ran a Rothsville shoemaker shop over forty years ago and later carried mail between Hopeland and Ephrata. He kept a small Hopeland grocery in recent years, leaves a wife, no children, and was a charter member of Clay Lodge 915 T C C F. Funeral Monday at 9:20 a m from his home to Rotheville Lutheran Church with Revs D L Fogelman and J W Bittner officiating.

Sudden Death of Harry Warner in Fairmount
Harry Warner, 25, of Fairmount in West Earl township, died Tuesday night after returning from Lancaster where he and companions drank liquor. Dr. D J McCan said death was due to alcoholism. He was a tobacco farmer, son of Samuel and unknown mother, with four brothers: John, Samuel, Daniel, and Aaron. Funeral at 9:80 and 10:80 at Groffdale Church.

Died at Maximo Ohio Joseph Reighart
Joseph Reighart died at his Maximo home in Stark County Ohio on Tuesday January 23 at age 72. Born in Springville he grew up with John Kauffman at Sporting Hill and learned tailoring before working in Isaac Buch’s Warwick shop. He later ran a successful bretzel business in Maximo and served as postmaster until ill health. Survived by wife and seven children his obituary praises his character and self made life.

Winter Weather and Market Prices Reported
The groundhog saw shadow on a cloudy day but winter persists with snow four inches on Monday. Snow drifted, traffic partly impeded. Warmer rain froze pavements on Wednesday, making streets slick. Last Saturday market drew more farmers despite bad weather. Vegetables, potatoes eight cents per half peck, sweet potatoes eight to fifteen cents, apples twenty three to twenty five cents, turnips eight cents, celery five to ten cents a bunch, dressed chickens sold, eggs twenty one cents a dozen, butter eighty two cents a pound.
