Eight-year-old boy injured after buggy wheel error
Eight-year-old Robert Adams son of Peter Adams of East Main street was dragged by a buggy driven by Lester Rank near the school house Tuesday. The wheel ran over his arm and shoulder causing a deep two inch gash in his head. No bones were broken and stitches were required. The boy is recovering well.

Roy Muller Home Heroof Lititz War Returns for Christmas
Roy Miller, a Lititz war hero, arrives home for Christmas after wounds and months in hospitals since July. He served starting July 1917, trained at Gellysburg and Hancock, then overseas where his ship was torpedoed. He escaped in a lifeboat, fought at Chateau Thierry, was wounded in the right foot, and endured days without food or water before hospital care. His ongoing pain comes from a copper foot brace used as a souvenir.

Ill Years Young Red Cross Leader Mrs Sarah Miller
Ill years old Lancaster County resident Mrs Sarah Miller longtime Neffsville Home resident and Red Cross member is said to be the oldest Red Cross worker in the area. If she lives to March 20 she will be 90 years old. She has lived at the Neffsville institution the last decade and remains sharp, fond of reading, and served by a large family including son Squire II Mohler of Mechanicsburg and numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.

Moehler Veteran Teacher Dies After Week Long Illness
WM Moehler a veteran school teacher of this county died Saturday morning at 1 o clock at his Brownstown home from influenza after a week's illness. He was 63 and had taught since age 17, serving four to five years as head of the Brownstown Grammar School. Previously he taught in Ephrata and Warwick and was longtime principal of the Ephrata Secondary School. He also taught at Warwick school and lived in Lititz for years. Survived by wife Rebecca Why of Lancaster, and one sister Mary Fetzer. brothers Charles K. near Ephrata, Edwin of Bighspire Dauphin County, and Warm BD of Reading. Christmas Scenes Across Town Lifted by Soldiers Return
Christmas was celebrated with fine weather and bright programs as townsfolk, visitors, and recently returned soldiers gathered for weekend church services. Miss Bessie Gingrich led choir music and a lavish illumination enhanced by colored lights and spruce decorations. Chaplain Francis Hagen spoke of faith and duty, recalling Belgian aid and the welfare of soldiers.

Lititz Influenza Persists Amid Local Outbreak
influenza continues in Lititz area with many homes affected and several families struck. At White Oak last week 15 of 50 pupils showed illness and several households report multiple cases. The Keith family of five and Lewis Haines’ household are among the stricken. Mrs Roy Buch near town is ill with a two weeks old child. A trained nurse attends and shows improvement.

Travelers Near and Far Christmas in Lititz Town
A long list of visitors, relatives, and locals spent the Christmas holidays in Lititz and surrounding areas. Names include Dr. HH A Cuppy in New York, Frank Downey Reading, C M Hassford Baltimore, Lloyd Kauffman Chester, and many more. Several locals hosted guests from Philadelphia, Reading, and New Jersey. A deer was seen near the Millport dam, mink pelts sold, and two residents suffered health issues.
