Elizabeth Farms Presbyterian Church Organized at Coleman Chapel

A new church organization named The Elizabeth Farms Church was formed at Coleman Memorial chapel near Brickerville on December 16 with Rev. Geo. Wells Ely presiding. The congregation grew from a long local history, including a 19th century chapel built by Mrs. Dawson Coleman, outstation ties to Christ Presbyterian Lebanon, and prior attempts at organization and revival led by Rev. John L. Landis and Rev. C. S. Asay. The current group, aided by Rev. E. W. Gaylord and Rev. Fields, emphasizes fellowship with nearby churches and sustaining Sunday school, Christian Endeavor, and training classes.
