Lyceum debate on country life versus city life in Litiz
Despite Saturday’s bad weather the Lyceum drew a good crowd. Miss Ells Stark read selections from Litiz Grammar School, then J F Sturgis led a debate arguing country life is preferable to city life. Other speakers weighed health, morality, and opportunities, with judges favoring the affirmative. The next debate is planned for Saturday evening with a new topic. Christmas notes urge trees, sleighing, and local festivities as Litiz marks the season.
