Thanksgiving Day saw many local families hosting and visiting relatives across Lititz and surrounding townships. The item lists numerous households entertaining guests from Elm, Manheim, Lancaster, Schaefferstown, and beyond, with many extended family gatherings noted through Sunday and Monday reach.

A 0.5 percent pledge was signed and will go to Congress. Sunday at 2 15 in the Moravian Chapel a short prayer service will be held and on Monday members observe hourly prayer. Miss Dorothy Evans played a violin solo with Miss Irene Burkey. The next meeting is set for December 12 in the U B Church with the Society of Farm Women invited.
In Lancaster Court Judge Atlee presided Tuesday over Atlantic Refining Company versus J Edwin Hodgkinson and Louis Heinrich trading as Lititz Motor Sales Lititz. The case alleged the defendants agreed to sell gas at their agency and garage service station. After two hours of argument a verdict by agreement awarded the plaintiff 396.75 damages. Harold G Ripple counsel for defendants filed exceptions and the matter goes to argument court on a question of law.
