Hampshire hogs offer best market returns for farmers
The Hampshire breed is praised as the top choice for profitable pork production. Hampshire hogs finish early and require less feed, with high milking sows and large litters. Lancaster County breeders promote local sales, aiming to keep top stock within the county through organized auctions and supportive association activities. Buyers from multiple states attend, signaling broad interest in the breed.
