Lightning and Rain and Thunder Cloud Electrical Layers
Lightning arises with thunderstorms as rain aids ion formation and charge separation. Positive electricity concentrates on larger drops while negative on smaller ones carried by air. The lower positive cloud layer reduces the earth's opposite charge beneath it as opposite signs attract.
Lighting design aids eye comfort for readers
The article contrasts decorative lamps with floor lamps that align with chair level providing indirect lighting. It argues that proper lamp height and dual bulbs reduce eyestrain, while poor lighting creates glare and harsh contrasts. It notes indirect lighting softens room illumination and eases concentration.
