Pierson Defeats Dr Ober in 17th District Primary Triumph
Henry J. Pierson, of town, defeated Dr H K Ober of Elizabethtown for State Senator in the 17th district primary Tuesday. Nearly complete returns show Pierson with 6 484 votes to Ober 2 822, carrying almost every district including Lititz and Ober losing in his home town. Lebanon and the northern part of the county favored Pierson by large margins, while final counts reflect a strong showing across the district. The day also featured a county committee contest in the first ward with Dr H K Cooper and Mrs Effie Brobst winning Republican nominations and M Pfautz and Grace Keller securing Democratic spots.
