Longtime railroad watchman dies on duty at 77
Frank B Burns of Lewistown, a railroad watchman for 32 years with the PBRR, died suddenly while on duty at age 77. He reportedly walked 163729 miles during his career, more than six times around the world. James Frederick, a 73 year old Civil War veteran from Seitzland, York County, resumed fishing in Codorus Creek and caught a 14 inch one pound six ounce sucker.

Sert Live Eagle from Texas was sent to Lebanon by Robert Oswald of the Lebanon Aerie a vaudeville performer. The eagle weighs about twelve pounds and is described as a fine specimen. The bird originated in Electra Texas. Twenty cans of rainbow trout were distributed in Valley Creek from Planebrook to Valley Forge by Montgomery County Fish and Game Association members. Each can held over 200 trout 4 to 6 inches long. Lancaster voters will decide on an $8 000 000 city loan with May election. Half funds street work.
