Local Social Roundup Highlights Weekend Visits and Events
Long Island visitor Harry W. Miller spent the weekend in Lititz. The Mt. Joy Fire Co. amateur contest awarded second prize to Verna Kreider and Earl Carpenter, a popular local duo known as the Sweethearts of Lititz. The Sweethearts program on WGAL now airs at 5 30 Sunday evenings. Numerous residents traveled to nearby towns for family visits and church activities including Luther League participation and a district rally in Lancaster. Families gathered for demonstrations, Legion Auxiliary events, and weekend visits across Harrisburg Reading and Middletown Delaware locations.
