Tragic Auto Wreck Kills Henry Erb and Elizabeth Reinhart
A Marion-Handrey auto collided with a P and R train near Mechanicsville on the Manheim pike last Friday evening. Henry Erb of Lititz and Elizabeth Reinhart of Sunbury died, while William Wilhelm of Wehrly and Lewis Schenk of Manheim were injured. The train struck the rear of the car as it rolled about fifty feet after impact. Eric, believed driver, died minutes later. Reinhart died at Lancaster General Hospital. Erb had returned from State College for Easter vacation. The party planned a social outing in Manheim. a sixth passenger missed the trip. Funeral services drew large crowds from State College and beyond.
