PUBLISHED STATEMENT TRUST CO. JOE MOSS, President. Condensed statement of the condition of the Linton Trust Company, at Linton in the state of Indiana, at the close of business on Sept. 6,1921.
In Indianapolis on September 20, the United Mine Workers of America begins a biennial convention at Tomlinson Hall to draft wage agreements for both anthracite and bituminous miners. Delegates will also tackle unemployment, shorter work days, and potential nationalization of mines, with about 1500 delegates expected and John L. Lewis presiding.
Urbain Ledoux known as Mr Zero plans another sale of unemployed men near Fifth Avenue library after a Broadway march. He also threatened to auction unemployed women and described dress in musical comedy shows as a factor.
The Common Council of Linton Indiana will hold a meeting on September 19 1921 to receive sealed bids for run of mine coal to supply the municipal light plant from October 1 1921 to April 1 1922. Bids must include a certified check of 100 dollars and a bid bond. The council reserves the right to reject any bids. City Clerk Cletus Gill dated September 14 1921.
