Marce Edward Hays 36 of near Sandborn died Sunday after stumbling with a shotgun in a barn lot. Coroner ruled accidental death. Born February 12 1902 in Seymour, he is survived by parents Edward J and Ethel May Isaac Hays and three siblings. Funeral arrangements by Poindexter Funeral Home Browns Town.

Calvin Lawson 77, lifelong Greene county resident, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter Mrs John Roach in Linton after a long illness. He was born Sept 12, 1860 and survived by two daughters Mrs Roach and Mrs Alma Lenois of New York. Funeral services were held at Mrs Roach’s home in Switz City with burial in the Switz City cemetery. Newkirk Funeral Home of Pleasantville handled arrangements.

Harris arraigned on drunken driving charges after collision

The accident near Doc Sparks grocery on State Road 59 injured six in the Wymer car, with Lucile Wymer suffering deep neck and face cuts and possible internal injuries.

Identity of Man Sought in Local Assaults
The Linton City police seek a tall slender youth about 17 or 18 who assaulted three young girls in two weeks. He first tried to seize a purse near B and Second streets northeast, then approached two 16 year olds near the Frank Courtney American Legion post home asking for a date. The girls fled and he fled.

Man Suffers Serious Burns in Kerosene Explosion
Alpha Benefield of West Linton sustained first degree burns that proved serious after a kerosene can exploded while he poured fuel onto a flame. The blast showered his body with kerosene burning the waist, hands, and arms. He was taken to Freeman-Greene County hospital for treatment.

Lightning Strikes Kill Two Grover Heacox Horses
