Columbus man jailed for bigamy after stolen car shuttle
William Cash, 25, of Columbus, was sentenced to two to five years in the Indiana Reformatory for bigamy. Bartholomew Circuit Court heard he used a stolen car for shuttle trips to visit both wives, Martha Inez Jones of Faronton Georgia who he married in 1942 and Velma Benneth of Columbus who he wed in 1943, leaving him with children by both wives.
