Linton City School Board Misses Reorganization Tradition

The Linton City School Board did not reorganize this year as usual in August with a president secretary and treasurer. The joint high school contract with Township Trustee Mimer Pope, promising about 7000 extra, was not carried out due to legal concerns. The law requires pro rata payments based on taxables, a fifty fifty proposition, and failure by one party to send more students does not relieve obligations. Rev. M. Ray Willson chairs meetings in the absence of the ministerial association president, Rev. E. Roberts handles finances, and nightly services at 7:30 proceed with day services possible if needed.
