Fatality After Truck Collision Near Hoopeston Crossing
William Gooden 27 of Noblesville Indiana died after leaping from a truck carrying laborers to work in Vermillion County near Hoopeston. The vehicle trail stopped when the Chicago Eastern Illinois railway train cleared the M Street crossing by two feet. Gooden fell in front of the train and died en route to the hospital.
