Mildred Young and Bobby Del Rio will also perform. Proceeds support Veterans Hospital Programs. Admission is free.
Police search Clay City Indiana for professional burglars who dynamited a safe and removed over $600 from the Clay County Farm Bureau Co op elevator. The thieves moved a smaller safe to a wooded area and blew it open, with authorities deeming the operation the work of experts conducted in the early hours. The burglary was discovered when the building opened for business.
The body of Cpl. Joseph Myers is returned to the United States from the Pacific aboard the US Army Transport Dalton Victory. Next of kin is Richard H. Myers of 238 South Lawton Street Jasonville. Remains of 2,554 Americans who died in World War II were aboard. The group includes service members buried in temporary cemeteries on Saipan Japan and the Philippine Islands.

Mrs Dora Reynolds aged 71 of Linton died at 1 30 pm in Freeman Greene county hospital after six weeks illness. Born October 23 1877 in Mt Pulaski Illinois she was daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Bobell. Survived by two sons John Reynolds Waverland Indiana Cerel Reynolds Fowler one daughter Helen Laughlin Indianapolis one sister Lizzie Wheatley Mt Pulaski and two brothers. Funeral arrangements pending at Welch and Cornett Funeral home.
