Mr and Mrs Osa Parks travel with their daughter Mrs Carl Carrier to Cranesville Pennsylvania where they will spend the winter visiting Mrs Carrier and her family.

Army private Rex Green son of Mack H and Mrs Green Worthington Ind spent five days on rest and recuperation leave in Japan from Korea. A machine gunner in Company M 35th Infantry Regiment he joined the Army in 1951 arriving in Korea last March and has been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge.
Albert E. Cutts 48 of Sullivan rural route was fatally struck by a slate fragment at the Little Betty coal mine west of Dugger while preparing to set a mine prop. He died instantly. Found by co worker Ruel Pigg. Widow and one child survive. Funeral plans not announced.
Mrs Elizabeth Ann McBride 58 of Linton died at 4 30 pm Saturday after a week in Freeman-Greene County Hospital where she had been ill since January. Born March 3 1894 in Clay County she was daughter of James and Alice Nicholson. Survived by daughter Virginia E McBride brother Losson Nicholson and half sister Vina Bolinger. Funeral set for 2 00 pm Tuesday at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home with Deaconess Nola D Yoder officiating.
Lyons churches cooperate on a Union Thanksgiving service at 9 30 Wednesday morning in Lyons Memorial hall. The program includes call to worship scripture prayer glee club numbers talks duets devotions closing hymn and benediction with Rev E E Mercer Rev Hugh Enicks Mrs Foster Edwards Beverly Weber Mrs Helen Gregory Mrs Betty Jane Bingham and Rev Mr Enicks among participants. Public invited.
Funeral services for C. D. Wilkinson, a former Linton resident who died Friday morning at Bay Pines Florida, are set for 2:00 PM Tuesday at Flanner Buchanan Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Wilkinson previously served as assistant district manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance here.
Jesse Bedwell of Linton, 23, was nicknamed a mystery figure as Marines concluded a seven week probe found he suffered temporary amnesia in 1949. He had served in the Marine Corps 1946-47, enlisted in the Air Force in 1948, and briefly in 1950 under the alias Richard Lee Beard before later matching fingerprint records to Bedwell. The Marine Corps discharged him honorably and notified his employer, the Pennsylvania Railroad, that he will return to work.
Miss Monna Lorene King 28 of Dugger route one died at 8 00 Saturday night in Mary Sherman hospital Sullivan after a short illness. She was born in Sullivan county in July 1924, daughter of Jesse and Elsie King. Survived by parents three sisters and three brothers. The funeral at Dugger Church of Christ 2 00 Tuesday with Maurice Clymore officiating, burial in Dugger cemetery.
Emma Lorene Foster 76 lifelong Eastern Greene County resident died at 1 40 this morning at her Taylor township home. born April 9 1876 in Richland township to Christopher and Harriet Graham she belonged to the Anti och Christian church. Survived by husband Oron W Foster six daughters Mrs Harrison Floyd Mrs Ethel Hasler Mrs Roy Coffey Mrs Doris Hash Bloomfield route two Mrs Mina Frazer Linton and Mrs Lee Hash Bloomfield route four and one son Oron Foster Jr Bloomfield route two. Rev. W. S. Brandenburg, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church, entered St. Anthony's hospital in Terre Haute on Friday. He will undergo surgery tomorrow. His room number is 529.
Donald G. Johnson completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base Texas and was promoted to Airman Third Class. He is the grandson of Mr and Mrs Claude Johnson of Linton.
Mrs. Marthena Louise Richardson, 40, lifelong Linton resident, died at 9 30 am Saturday after a year of illness. Born April 18 1912 in Stockton township she was the daughter of Squire and Avis Walters. She was married July 21 1928 to Lloyd Richardson and survived by her husband, a brother Robert Walters of Linton, an uncle and aunt Theodore Hitchison and wife, and three cousins. She was a member of the Linton First Christian church and H 12 club. She will lie in state at Anderson Poindexter Memory Chapel with services Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev C E Horton, burial in Fairview.
Harry Harold Pat Morrison, 37, was to be arraigned today on federal bank robbery charges for the $1086 holdup of the Fairbanks People's State Bank. FBI said a U S marshal took him from Sullivan County Jail to Indianapolis for a hearing. Morrison was captured 30 minutes after two bank employees were tied up by a gunman.

The play follows Annie Laurie of Maxwelton Scotland as she loves William Douglas despite disapproval from her father Sir Lauria. Rev Bill Garrison from Georgia, a chalk talk artist, will lead revival services at Nine Mile Church from Wednesday Nov 26 to Wednesday Dec 5. Rev William Holjer, pastor, announced the revival which will feature special musical numbers and begin each night at 7 00 p m. The church issued a public invitation to attend.

About 600 Reds attacked from caves on The Yoke with 320 more later at Pinpoint. allied artillery mortars and night bombers disrupted the thrusts and destroyed Red supply trucks as tanks and guns hit eastern positions.
