Multiple Fatality Crashes Boost Indiana Toll
A weekend spike in deadly crashes pushed Indiana's toll to at least 15, with 1,328 fatalities for the year. Three people died in crashes near New Haven, Dearborn County, and Noblesville, while Huntington County saw two more deaths. A Fortville couple and an Indianapolis man perished when a Noblesville car crashed into an elementary school building. Police said the wreckage was found hours after the incident. Counterfeit twenty dollar bills appeared in Bedford area cash drawers over the weekend. Five bogus notes with the same serial number were identified by several businesses including three department stores and Stone City National Bank.
