State Police Academy Planned for Indiana
Indiana Governor Branigin and State Police Superintendent Robert O Nea l announced plans for a state police academy to move training from basements and garages. Park says no more regular Korean troops to Vietnam

Air Force Radar Plane Crashes 125 Miles Off Nantucket
An Air Force EC1121 radar plane with 19 aboard crashed in fog 125 miles east of Nantucket. No survivors were found. A Coast Guard search, oil slick and debris were reported as crews from Otis Air Force Base joined the hunt.

Nautilus and Essex Head to Port After Collision
The Nautilus and the Essex headed for Norfolk port to repair damage from a grinding collision off the North Carolina coast. One crewman on the Nautilus was injured as the submarine, submerged during antisubmarine warfare drills about 360 miles offshore, suffered a damaged conning tower while the carrier sprang a leak. The Nautilus, first nuclear submarine, was ordered to New London escorted by USS Furse for safe voyage.
