Claude Clark of Dugger sustained minor head cuts and bruises after a 6:45 AM truck auto crash on state road 54 west of Dugger. The Linton Fire department fought three alarms with only minor damage. At 8:55 this morning crews checked a roof fire at the Carl Weddle residence in Goosepond. Later in the day an auto wiring blaze in West Linton caused minor loss, and Saturday night firemen tackled burning trash at the municipal dump.

Dugger Youth 19 Dies After Auto Wreck West of Sullivan
Lloyd Ben Smith of Dugger 19 died of chest and back injuries after a car skidded on a curve in rain and sleet on state road 154 four miles west of Sullivan. John Edward Stuller 25 of Sullivan was driver and suffered no serious injuries. The crash occurred at midnight with the car a total loss. Smith was born August 20 1933 in Knox county and lived most of his life in Dugger. He is survived by his parents and grandmother Mrs Martha Clark. Funeral arrangements set at Evans Funeral Home with services at Mt Calvary church near Dugger and burial in Mt Calvary cemetery.
