Maurice Martindale a 16 year old of Linton is named outstanding 1946 Greene County 4-H sheep club member by the county 4-H club committee. Jack Benham Junior Leader presented a registered Shropshire ewe lamb to Maurice in a ceremony with Clarence Creager Arthur Haseman and Bill Deck observing. Four mental patients with definite homicidal tendencies were captured and returned today to Mason General hospital after overpowering two ward men and escaping. The group, three Black war veterans and a German prisoner of war, roamed the rain soaked Long Island shore before arrest. Police said three patients, two veterans and the Nazi prisoner, resembled dead crows as they surrendered. Their bathrobes were wet and dirty and they were exhausted.

Change in date for patrol meetings announces new times

Lost Jasper 101 Found in Wood
Four year old Victor Kelsey vanished from his home in Jasper Ind. during a night trek with two dogs and was later found at dawn in a briar patch on a farm 12 miles away. He was hungry and cold but unharmed. Police credit a search of relatives volunteers and state troopers.

Washington Nov 6 rent control will survive wartime controls but ceilings will be raised. OPA spokesman Steelman says rent may be kept under control while demolition of many controls proceeds.
