Burglars Target Marco High School Candy Safe

Fireman Suffers Head Injury At Terre Haute Pool

Funeral Rites Held for Linton Miner John Wright Jr
Funeral services for John Wright Jr aged 55 of Linton were held today at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home with Rev. Chester W. Scott officiating. Wright died from injuries received at Regent Coal mine when two loaded coal cars broke loose and pinned him beneath a drilling machine. Coroner Stanley Jewell ruled accidental death. burial followed at Sullivan Mary Sherman Hospital treated him three hours after accident. Wright, born March 6 1895 in Cardonia Clay County, leaves a large family.

Circuit Judge Norval K. Harris indicted two months ago calls for another grand jury and names Kari Cummings, a Sullivan Republican and former deputy state attorney general, as special prosecutor to investigate the elected prosecuting attorney.
