Hoosier Crop Report for Month of March
Indianapolis March 20 half the usual corn remained in farmers hands as of March 1. Home feed use nearly matched last year while county corn shipments are only slightly more than one third of last year. Estimates show corn cash income could fall by over 30 million dollars. Oats stocks exceed last year by 8 million bushels due to a splendid crop. Shipments of oats from 1924 crop up 44 percent. Wheat on hand is lowest in six years with high shipments. Barley stocks higher but shipments lower due to local feeding demand. Rye stocks depleted as crop is smaller and shipment activity high.
