Battle to tame wild sheep and goats in Hawaii forest

A major effort to control rapidly multiplying wild sheep and goats begins on 85 000 acres of forest with a 52 mile sheep proof fence. When finished, the plan calls for rounding up and culling the wild animals, a method to be used in other forest reserve districts across the islands. Hawaii hosts about 1 000 000 acres of forest, with 566 000 acres government owned and the remainder held by private sugar interests.
