Disabled veterans plan Senate confrontation over relief
In Minneapolis on June 30 the Disabled American Veterans voted to urge the senate investigating committee to hear their complaints against the veterans bureau. R C Michaels of Ohio chaired the legislative panel and urged pressing action to secure relief for disabled men. Salt Lake City was chosen for the 1924 convention with James A McFarland of Dalton Georgia elected national commander and William J O'Connor of San Francisco named senior vice commander.

A Queensland can manufacturer of an electric sifter, used as a sand riddle on foundry floors, has developed a device that sifts out material suspended in liquids. The machine is wholly enclosed except for a half closed top to prevent splashing.
