Fre Destroys Old Landborn Landmark

The home of Wesley Bray in Sandborn Indiana was destroyed by fire yesterday morning. Discovered shortly after eight, the blaze likely started from chimney sparks landing on dry shingles. The structure, one of Sandborn’s oldest and moved from Peter Hill’s lot, burned the roof over the kitchen but caused little external damage as neighbors saved most of the property. A safe with jelly inside was lost, and the building, insured for a small amount, stood in a cluster of nearby houses with no wind to spread the flames.
